About Me

Physical Therapist and Strength Coach

Meet Your Coach Liz

The Ride Life Liz

Hi, I’m Liz — a Doctor of Physical Therapy, founder of Outdoor Women Strong, and a woman who has fought her way back to strength more than once.

For years, I struggled with hypermobility, lack of strength, and the aches that come with a busy life.
Even though I was a DPT and loved being outdoors, I found myself dealing with constant back and neck pain, feeling weaker than I wanted to be, and realizing that all the demands of life had slowly pushed my own strength to the bottom of the list.

But I wanted more for myself — not just to get out of pain, but to feel strong in my body again.
So I rebuilt my strength piece by piece, using the same principles I specialize in as a physical therapist:
✔ joint stability
✔ foundational strength
✔ progressive overload
✔ mobility that supports movement, not just stretches it

As I worked my way back, something powerful happened.
On the trails, on the water, and in the mountains, I kept meeting women who were feeling exactly like I had:
strong in spirit, motivated to be outside…
but held back by tightness, fatigue, old injuries, or simply not knowing how to train for the demands of their sport.

Mountain bikers who felt unstable on descents.
Kayakers with shoulder or back pain.
Hikers whose hips always tightened halfway up the climb.
Trail runners who loved the miles but not the soreness afterward.

So I started helping them — and together, we built something bigger.

That’s how Outdoor Women Strong was born.

Today, my programs blend:
💪 evidence-based strength training
🦴 physical therapy principles for joint and body health
🎒 real-world experience training outdoors
📈 four levels to meet every woman right where she is

And I’m living proof that this approach works.
Because rebuilding my own strength didn’t just take away my back and neck pain — it helped me progress in every outdoor sport I love:
🚵‍♀️ mountain biking
🥾 hiking
🛶 whitewater kayaking
🏃‍♀️ trail running

Now I help other women feel that same shift:
from tight and tired…
to strong, stable, confident, and capable in their bodies again.

My mission is simple:
To help outdoor women train smarter, feel better, and build the durable strength that keeps them doing what they love — season after season, adventure after adventure.

If you love the outdoors and want a body that’s ready for every climb, paddle, ridge, and trail…
you’re exactly where you belong.

Liz Isn’t Your Average Strength Coach

“Liz was available to talk with me about some of the lower back pain I experienced when working out or biking. She walked me through some adjustments I can make now and in the future. That was a game changer for me and is really why I’m writing this. Because honestly, this is the first program I’ve joined where the ‘main person’ is available for that kind of thing. She also comments on our team page and when people share their videos, etc… This meant a lot to me!”
